About Us

Mad About Paws was created from a lifelong passion for dogs, training, and the incredible bond between dogs and their Hoomans.

For many years, I have been actively involved in the dog sports community, competing in Agility, Rally Obedience, and Trick Training. Through these experiences, I've seen firsthand how enrichment, fitness, training, and positive experiences can transform a dog's confidence, wellbeing and quality of life.

My goal with Mad About Paws is simple: to create a welcoming space where dogs can be active, healthy, challenged, and most importantly, have fun.

A Lifetime with Dogs

Over the years, I have trained and competed with several dogs, each of whom has taught me valuable lessons about patience, perseverance, and the unique abilities of every dog.

My Toy Poodle, Ziggy, is a testament to what can be achieved through partnership, dedication, and training. Ziggy has been awarded both Victorian State Champion and Victorian Top Dog Agility Champion for the past two consecutive years.

Before Ziggy, my beloved dog Gemma achieved Victorian Top Dog Agility Champion in 2004, a milestone that remains a proud and special achievement.

My rescue Kelpie, Billy, has perhaps been the greatest reminder that every dog deserves the opportunity to succeed. Despite facing his own challenges, Billy has gone on to earn titles in Agility, Tricks, and Rally Obedience, proving that with the right support and encouragement, dogs can achieve far more than many people imagine.
